Love Where You Live: Palm Beach Gardens

0

My husband and I moved to Palm Beach Gardens about seven years ago. There is so much to do here, and we both love our home! Here are some fun things to do around town:

Places to Eat & Drink

Salute Market offers craft cocktails, delicious food and wine, a full brunch menu and happy hour specials. Some tasty options include antipasto, meatballs, and short ribs. They also have live music.

The Cooper is a farm-to-table restaurant that has a unique and delicious menu and happy hour specials with tasty appetizers like their fried mozzarella olives and chorizo dates.

For beautiful waterfront dining, Waterway Café is a mainstay of Palm Beach Gardens dining and offers beautiful indoor and outdoor seating, happy hour specials, and fresh seafood. My family had a delicious brunch here for Mother’s Day!

Christopher’s Kitchen offers a delicious, completely plant-based menu, including organic wine and craft beer. My husband is not usually a plant-based eater, and even he found something he liked when we ate here.

For a delicious café lunch and bakery featuring their customizable homemade cakes and cupcakes, check out Alaina’s Bake Shoppe & Café!

Shopping

In addition to being a shopping destination, the Gardens Mall has great family friendly events, like a special parade for “Santa’s arrival.” After having their picture taken with Santa, kids receive three special gold coins that they can use to shop for gifts for loved ones at the Kids’ Corner Holiday Shop, which is open from November 15th through December 24th. My kids enjoyed this last year, and we plan to go again this year.

Downtown at the Gardens is an open-air shopping mall with over fifty shops and restaurants, and a movie theater, and also hosts over twenty community events throughout the year including their Summer Concert Series, Holiday Tree Lighting, and Noon Year’s Eve. The Holiday Tree Lighting is on November 30th, from 5-8pm.

The Gardens Green Market is open on Sundays from 8am to 1pm.

For adorable gifts, jewelry (like these cute reindeer gem earrings), accessories, and items for the home, Prep Obsessed was recently voted Palm Beach’s Best Boutique by the Palm Beach Post!

Fun Family Events

The annual Holiday Bazaar, at Burns Road Community Center, will be open on Friday, December 6th, 11am to 8pm, and Saturday December 7th, from 9am to 4pm, with over 100 vendors.

The Palm Beach Gardens Tree Lighting Festival, on Friday, December 6th, will include food trucks, music, and even snow!

Parks and Playgrounds

Burns Road Community Center offers indoor activities, a sports complex, aquatic center, and playground at Burns Road Park, including a newly renovated splash park that is open in the summer.

Nearby, Lilac Park is a nice shaded playground that also has a dog park. Mirasol Park has playground equipment for all ages, basketball courts, and baseball and soccer fields.

Golf

For golf lovers, PGA National has five championship golf courses and hosts the Honda Classic tournament on the PGA Tour annually.

Palm Beach Gardens is truly a wonderful place to live and to visit. We are lucky to call this beautiful place home!
